- Broadridge trades around $163.56, about 35% below its $250 fair value estimate. The stock fell more than 40% from its 52-week high near $272 during 2026, on two overlapping worries:Investors fear that AI tools will let banks and brokers automatebring proxy and compliance work they currently outsource toin-house. That would cut Broadridge out of its highest-margin work. A second, andrelated fear is that tokenized securities will settle and vote outside Broadridge's traditional systemsnetworks entirely, cutting into its most defensible, highest-margin revenue. A cut to fullThe gap can close if recurring revenue keeps compounding at a high-year closedsingle-sales guidance in the Q3 FY2026 reportdigit rate, on longer and more complex sales cycles, added to the pressure. But the underlying numbers kept growing through all of this: FY2026 recurring revenue grewas it did in fiscal 2026 with 8% and adjusted earnings per share grew 12%, and management guided FY2027growth. It also needs new-business bookings to another 6recover from the cut guidance range of $240-8%290 million. Slower bookings today show up as slower recurring revenue growth and 8-12% EPS growthlater. Rather than being disrupted by tokenization, Broadridge is positioning itself as infrastructure for it, and its DLR repo platform's volumes have grown sharplyown moves need to turn into real revenue rather than stay pilots. These include launching the DLX tokenization platform and expanding digital-asset custody to US wealth managers in September 2026. Management argues that whoever holds a security, tokenized or not, still needs to meet the same governance and compliance obligations, so the work keeps flowingthat runs through Broadridge's networks. Broadridge is expected to report fiscal Q1 2027 results in early November 2026. That is the first test of whether the guided 6%-8% recurring revenue growth is on track. If recurring revenue keeps compounding at a high-single-digit rate while DLR and other tokenization initiatives prove out as new growth rather than a threatbookings both hold up through two or three more quarters, the discount can start to close. The honest counter by mid-case: if2027. If AI genuinely lets clients bring proxy and compliance work in-house, or tokenized-asset platforms route governance processingtokenization instead routes work around Broadridge, growth could slow well below guidance, and the market's skepticism would turn out to bedoubt will prove right rather thaninstead of overdone.
